| Religion in our town had arrayed the inhabitants into two hostile camps. She never had any sympathy with the fight.....She pointed out to the fanatics around her that the basics of religion was love and that religion that expressed itself in faction fights must have hate at the bottom of it.
Alexander Irvine. MY LADY OF THE CHIMMEY CORNER. 1915
I couldn't agree more with this quote. Religions that fight over their beliefs are based on fear and hate.

And it's even more foolish to assume that all superior intelligence is human. |

But the worst of the clergy want to take the the chance out of matrimony and decide who marries whom themselves.

Do U feel it's a good move ? i'd like to pos good vibing stuff I suggest you go ahead and create the new topic, and if you can't figure out how to make it a sticky on your own, I'll stick it up for you. However, when you go down to the bottom of any thread page, you see an item that says, "You can moderate this forum", and if you click on it you'll see a menu of things you can do that includes making the topic you're in a sticky. |

Believe in success knowing you cannot fail. These don't strike me as being very sensible. I don't see why believing that failure is possible makes it more probable, or why not believing you can fail makes failure less probable. IMO, both overconfidence and underconfidence make it harder to succeed. |

| I think one has to have self confidence to succeed. I believe in myself and have pictured in my mind what I want, and have gotten it. Life IMO is what you make it. Some people I've known, never thought they could succeed, and they never did. Others never doubted they would succeed and did so. Love for others and self also IMO help one attain their goals. |

I jus wanted to remind us abou the dubious ways faks are presented by a few mainstream informaschon streams, boz in ze form and in ze deph This hasn't yet shown up on Google here, so I was unable to get more info, but history shows very clearly that women and children "get disappeared" and end up in sex-slavery or similar exploitation in practically every situation where there is mass, unsupervised migration across national borders. And the main question I'm asking right now is why aren't the United Nations organizations that were created after WW2 with the express purpose of handling situations like this one being allowed to do their jobs? |

Skytiger Once women have had enough of this treatment, and realize very few men - sperm donors - are needed to keep the human race going, women may decide to do away with men who treat them as slaves and/or sexual objects. Men cannot survive without women, however women can survive with very few men. |

| Regardless of my post #118, IMO, the human race should learn to get along by putting love for others first. When this is achieved, only then can individuals truly love themselves, which will lead to true understanding of each other. |

I totally agree. And here's a thought my Guides just prompted me to dig out of my memory banks and post: "service to self" and "service to others" stand to one another as female and male stand to physical reproduction. |
