Ironically, something similar happens here in the USA, but it doesn't involve refugees or other immigrants. Every year, large numbers of young women and underage girls from mostly black or chicano slum neighborhoods, both urban and small town/rural, become victims of sexual trafficking without attracting much attention from either law-enforcement or social service agencies. However, when similar things happen to white women and girls, the cases usually end up in the courts and often also on the mainstream media.
