Reading ATLANTIS AND THE COMING ICE AGE by Frank Joseph.
If the book, which is backed by lots of science, Earth has had 4 civilizations rise and fall due to metros, asteroids, volcano and earthquakes. We are due for another mass destruction soon.
Has anyone else read this book? I find it highly interesting.

I will only read this book if my Spirit Guides endorse it, which is very unlikely, because they laughed when people I used to work with in the Sixties, like Tim Leary and Dick Alpert, later published similar stuff.

I read another book by Frank Joseph - badly translated to Hungarian - about synchronicity. That is actually a good book and it recounts quite a few new anecdotes compared to books a little while ago... I think the mere fact that less than a 1% of the archaeologically interesting sites have been explored professionally on Earth is more interesting than the actual speculations where something could have been in ancient times... Anyway, I think the future of the planet is far more interesting. Keeping the freedom of your spirit to speculate on its own...

Yikes! I just did a Google search on Frank Jospeh and found out that IRL he's a neo-nazi named Frank Collin:
"Upon his release from prison, Collin reinvented himself as 'Frank Joseph,' a New Age writer and pagan worshiper. In 1987 he had a book published, The Destruction of Atlantis: Compelling Evidence of the Sudden Fall of the Legendary Civilization."

I still like the book. Don't like his bio of his past.
The book has things I agree with. I do believe civilizations have existed like our current one, as well as some beyond ours. Earth is a lab and once certain things are learned, Earth will change to teach new things.

Now that I've had time to think about this, I remember when Frank Joseph was outed as a Nazi and thrown out of the New Age movement. I had already virtually dropped out of it myself, because the material I was starting to channel then was too different from the New Agers consensus model of spiritual reality for me to feel comfortable. And one of the things that made me drop out completely was because a fair number of people in the movement opposed his total expulsion simply because there were, as you just said, things in some of his writings they agreed with. I just didn't like his name being mentioned in connection with a movement that could also claim me as a member.

Still reading the book. Just finished THE GREAT WINTER chapter 7, where he lists several scientists who believe we are going into another ice age.
Quote from chapter. 'The Earth is now on the brink of entering another Ice Age, according to a large and compelling body of evidence from within the field of climate science.'
I read the whole chapter which describes core tests, erratic weather patterns, throughout the planet, some of which haven't happened since the last ice age. Reading all of that makes me think we will die from the cold which will cause food shortages as populations move towards warmer climates.
I am so glad I'm in my later years and will most likely have transitioned by the middle of this century, which is when they think the new Ice Age will be in full swing, especially for the northern hemisphere.

There have been many, many books written on the subject of "earth changes" and the like, going clear back to about 1900, with constant evolution of the consensus about what was "really going to happen here". This one of the few areas where professional scientists often endorse rather wild- sounding theories, which of course attracts the attention of both legitimate "researchers on the fringes of science" and complete nut cases. And there have always been popular books like this one in circulation that attempt to describe a number of the theories in vogue at a particular time. So I won't criticize you for reading it, and it looks like you learned a few things that were new to you.
