Restaurant refuses service to man with facial tattoos Empty
1PostSubject: Restaurant refuses service to man with facial tattoos   Restaurant refuses service to man with facial tattoos EmptySat Mar 19, 2016 2:56 pm

I'm old enough to have been banned from many public places
simply for being a man with shoulder-length hair, and I'm
in total sympathy with the man mentioned in a news item I
saw on CNN this morning. To put it in a nutshell, this guy
got banned from a place in Houston that calls itself a
"BombShells Breastaurant", simply for having some completely
inoccuous tattos on his face. He immediately went to the
restaurant's Facebook page and started posting complaints.
He got such a massive favorable response from the public
that BombShells soon took down the page. But by this time
the story had gone viral and a Google search will now
bring up several pages of links to articles and videos
on it.

So I'm starting a thread on this more to ask some
hard questions about a business policy that seems to be
becoming more and more common these idea: using provocative
names like "Twin Peaks". "BombShells", "Breastaurant", etc.
Is this sexist? Does it encourage sexual molestation and
prostitution inside the clubs? And more important, does it
give prudes and blue-noses in a community reasons to push
for stricter censorship of sexual art and entertainment
in general?

However, I'm still "dirty-minded" enough myself to muse
about the idea of somebody opening a place called the
"C*ntry Club" ... in which the waitresses "go commando"
and wear short skirts, which they frequently twitch up
so male customers can get a glimpse of their "precious
treasure".

Yeah, I think Hooters was the chain that the term "breastaurant" was
originally invented for, but they haven't been getting mass media
attention lately, though I don't know why. There are still Hooters
around here, but they've never attracted much attention, because
dress codes for waitresses, bar maids, and the like have been
extremely liberal since the Sixties.
