| When I logged on to my computer this morning, I had to wait about an hour for a major update of Windows 10 to upload, hoping it would be a real improvement, because my operating system had started doing some weird things recently. Such as not opening files I had moved in the same place they'd been in when I closed them, but moving them to a default position.
And so far, I'm very satisfied with the update. The glitches the old one had recently acquired have been corrected and I haven't spotted any new ones. So I'm starting this thread in hopes of finding out what other Windows 10 users think of the update, expecially if there are new glitches I haven't discovered yet.

| I'm still running Windows 8. I'll be interested in what everyone has to say about 10. |

| Mine updated a week ago. While it didn't move files around it did ask me where I wanted toput my pictures instead of me trying to find where they moved them too. I like it, for now. I have caught a cold and am not on here much today and probably tomorrow either. Not to worry though...I get this cold every single year no matter how or what I try to prevent it. |

I'll be interested in what everyone has to say about 10. Ironically, the more they update Windows 10 to make it more efficient and easier to use, the more it resembles Windows 8! |

| Haaa, when I read stories such as this starting a Win 7 and on it make me really greatful that i hung onto and still run XP.. In the Seattle Time today China is hauling Microsoft onto the carpet for what they see as shady dealings, it seems Microsoft sold the China government a multitude of computer systems with ? guarantees to keep them operational and current then quite a while back discontinued updates for XP..China is hopping mad..go get um China and force them into making updates for us XP-ers.. |

Yeah, I hope the Chinese government has enough clout with Microsoft to pressure them into returning to do updates on Windows XP, and if they don't, to order all PC users in China to dump Windows and switch to some other operating system. And if this happens, then PC users all over the world can switch to that OS if they have an issue with Microsoft. |

| I just want it to be user friendly for those who are over 60, and like me, are not computer savey.

I've always felt that Microsoft has always made its operating systems complex and hard to use to keep its customers from demanding better service. And the frequent up-dates enable them to keep charging what amounts to rent for software that the users theoretically own. They do this by replacing features that were free when the the OS was sold by similar ones that the customer has to pay an extra fee to use. The original feature is still there, but fewer and fewer people use it, eventually making it virtually useless. |
