Duck Tape does fix anything

Nearly dropping my Surface, I grabbed it by the corner with thumb and forefinger breaking the glass. Never knew I was that strong
Got out the duck tape and fixed the corner. This happened 5 wks ago, and only replaced patch job today.
Surface has worked great, just as if nothing happened, all this time

I'm wondering if anyone reading this is going to call you on saying "duck tape" instead of "duct tape". I've always used the latter name, but vaguely recalled that the stuff had once actually been marketed as "duck tape" ... and a Google search showed I was right:
