The adventures of Siggy
One day in his travels through time Siggy landed on planet called earth. This planet was beautiful and full of beautiful people. Unfortunately they were all dead. They had the appearance of being alive and went about their daily occupations as if they were alive and consumed massive amounts of life bearing substances as if they were alive but inside they were dead without spirit.
So Siggy thought well how can I resurrect them and restore them to life so they can really live and restore their planet that they have consumed to death. Well for the sake of efficiency maybe using a product as a catalyzer would be the most efficient way to propagate life on the planet of the zombies. He had noticed that one of the most popular products was coffee and that it was widely distributed and legal. This way every zombie who would have a cup of coffee in the morning would be resurrected back to life and enjoy it.
So was planed the resurrection of the planet earth and it’s beautiful people.

Well, if "coming to life" or "being saved" requires any actions at all drinking a coffee makes just as much sense as going to Mass, or crouching on a prayer rug facing East, or chanting mantras in a Hindu temple...

Death is common to all men, very few people see it as non threatening ... and this includes the majority of religious belivers.

It's always looked to me like there's considerable evidence in the New Testament to support a Spiritualistic cosmology based on the premise that people's souls remain conscious after physical death and communicate with the living on a psychic level until they reincarnate. The same Greek words are used to refer to physical ressurection in some New Testament passages and to reincarnation in others. And the authors make it clear that they believe time is different in the afterlife than it is on the Earth plane, so that "a day is as a thousand years" and "a thousand years are as a day"
